QuestNet is proud to announce that The Commonwealth Business Council in the UK has invited Dato' Vijay Eswaran to be a speaker at the AAA (Asia, Africa, and the Americas) Business Summit 17-18 March 2008, at the Swami Vivekananda International Convention Centre, in Pailles, Mauritius.
The 2008 AAA Business Summit, formerly known as "China-India-Brazil-Africa (CIBA)”, is being organised in association with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
This year’s theme is “Enhancing South-South Co-operation for Greater Economic Growth” and Dato' Vijay Eswaran has been invited to speak on “Knowledge Economy: Moving up the Value Chain - Case study: Financial Services”.
The Summit will address key issues on how emerging nations can increase investment in-flows, trade in areas that allow them to create a competitive advantage, and how these countries can finance infrastructure development.
Over 300 delegates from all over the world will converge on the Summit to discuss opportunities from Asia, Africa and the Americas in order to build and maintain relationships between the southern economy nations. Attendees will include senior government representatives, chairmen and chief executives of corporations, senior executives representing financial institutions; legal and consulting organisations; as well as other strategic investors.

QI-Meritus.Mahara is thrilled to announce that 22-year-old Italian driver Luca Filippi will be part of Honda Racing’s F1 Young Driver line-up for the 2008 season.
Joining Filippi - who is currently racing for team QI-Meritus.Mahara in the GP2 Asia Series - will be 24-year-old Mark Conway from the UK. The young pair of Formula One hopefuls were teammates in last season’s GP2 series.
Honda Racing evaluated both drivers at test outings in November and December and were impressed with their performance and commitment to the tests. Under the new sporting regulations for 2008, the team has a number of Young Driver evaluation days that will allow Luca and Mike to develop their skills in the car and assist the team with its testing requirements, along with their racing activities in the GP2 Series.
“It is a great opportunity for me to be a part of the Honda Young Driver Programme and I am really looking forward to working with the team this year. I am hoping to learn a great deal from the team’s engineers and drivers, which will help not only in driving the F1 car but also for my racing in the GP2 Series.” said Filippi.
Filippi will continue his duties and develop his skills as driver for QI-Meritus.Mahara as he and teammate Hiroki Yoshimoto take on the Sentul International Circuit in Indonesia, 16-17 February 2008.
